Playing guitar & slide guitar on both "Never Been to Mississippi" and "Wine & Whiskey."From San Francisco California, Billy Stapleton‚ his education in rhythm and blues got serious at 18 when drummer Francis Clay (Muddy Waters' drummer) joined his blues band in 1968. He was the lead guitarist of the legendary "Mendocino All Stars" and played in innumerable bands that toured the West Coast with improbable names like "Duck Butter" "Trouble" & "Billy Blastoff". Moving to Seattle in '86, he played with the Mark Dufresne Band for 6 years. Now the guitarist for Little Bills' "Blue Notes" he says, "I've learned more music from Bill in the past 5 years than I have in the last 20."  For CDs, pics, stories go to
