1st Annual Mountain Rhythm & Blues Revival

Join us for the Mountain Rhythm & Blues Revival at Ashford County Park's beautiful outdoor amphitheater! Located in Ashford, WA, the gateway to Paradise, Mt. Rainier National Park. Come for the day, stay for the weekend and enjoy all this area has to offer!
Many Pacific NW music fans remember the “Mt. Rainier Rhythm & Blues Festival” that took place in Mineral, WA. From 2007 to 2011. That festival lost its venue and was forced to come to an end. Now 8 years later a new location in the same general area has finally become available so we are bringing it back and calling it a RIVIVAL!

The quaint town of Ashford, WA. near the entrance to Mt. Rainier national park is where the newly named “Mountain Rhythm & Blues Revival” will take place. The Ashford county park & amphitheater is a beautiful green grass park with natural slopes making for a fantastic music venue. There is room for RV and camping right across the street and nearby.

With the entrance to Mt. Rainier national park just up the road, this is a perfect long weekend get away while taking in a full day of top-notch regional Rhythm & Blues Bands. Being that this is the 1st annual, we have decided to just do a one-day event to test the waters. The goal is to expand this into a multi-day music festival next year and beyond.

August 10th will feature five exciting bands who have been playing the festival circuit for many years.

You can make plans to stay the weekend or a full week and explore the beautiful Mt. Rainier area or just make a short-day trip. For most, a short drive!  Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. There will be food vendors and a beer & wine garden too.
Western, WA. needs more annual Rhythm & Blues festivals so come help us get this new one off the ground!

Junk Yard Jane
3:30 - 5 pm

This five-headed love child named Junkyard Jane rose by night in the tide flats of Tacoma, Washington from a deadly brew of blues, swamp gas, rockabilly, old engine parts, country, motor oil, folk, funk and used kitty litter. Like all true originals, they display a Creole blend of influences that they affectionately call “Swampabilly Blues”.
Kim Archer
1:30 - 3 pm

Known for her raw, powerhouse performances, Kim Archer has attracted a large and loyal following of fans with her vocally-driven soulful rock and honest songwriting. Whether she’s playing a premier venue with her tight band band, or an intimate club for a solo show, Archer never disappoints. With guitar in hand she commands the stage playing her own original songs, or conjuring up a whole new vibe on vintage hits so that they sound fresh and wonderfully different.
noon-1p m

The Cory Wilds Band is an energetic three piece unit that blends elements of traditional Rock, Blues and Jazz with a more modern tonality to create their unique and powerful guitar driven sound.

Layers of soft rippling tones can transform into ragged distorted bursts of searing guitar that ride on tight grooving bass lines and tasty drumming to create “a modern sound with an old soul.”

The trio formed in 2009 as a cover band and has continued its transformation into an original act with diverse yet distinct artistic influences and a high-octane live presence on stage.
